What does design mean to you?
Everywhere we look we see examples of design, wonderful or… not so wonderful. Design involves a lot more than just making something look pretty. To be effective, design has to embrace function as well as appearance. A business card can be made to stand out by making it larger than other cards, but then it won’t fit in a wallet; a brochure can be made with multiple pages, but then you can only fit a few in a brochure rack and they run out faster; a form has to be the right size to be easily useable; a mailing piece has to conform to post office restrictions to avoid extra mailing costs… design is key to all of these. Each of our products has design built right into the price. This is not unlimited, but is usually enough to get the job done. We provide you with a couple of different designs which will help you to pick out the features that you like and those you don’t like. Should the design process take longer than anticipated we will notify you in plenty of time so that we can discuss the best way forward. You are in control of the process from start to finish. Design often starts with your logo, whether that is one that you already have or one that you want us to design. If you look at the logos of large, successful businesses, they are usually simple, use few colors and work at any scale. Think of the Nike tick; McDonald’s famous golden arches; Ford Motors’ blue roundel; Twitter’s bird silhouette; the handwritten Disney logo, all are clear and work in every situation, from the corner of a business card to the side of a building. We can work with you to create a logo that works for your organisation or help simplify your existing logo.
